Graphic Design careers

Graphic design is a visual representation of an idea whether through text, art, or typography. Three types of Graphic Design are Type based design, Images and Type, and Image based design. There are many responsibilities of a Graphic Designer, two that I found interesting are meeting with clients to discuss the scope of the project  and reviewing errors in their work with the client but the client has the final say.

Looking at many different Graphic Design related careers I was interested in multimedia designer with a specific emphasis on animation because it can lead to a wide variety of jobs allowing you to be flexible but also animation is cool. My partner and I were surprised by how much work they put in without little pay and I want to find out more about finding and securing a job in a growing industry (what qualifications, skills, and experience should we have?).
